Book Description
Give the crafty kid in your life the gift of style! Bandana-rama—Wrap, Glue, Sew makes it easy for kids of all experience levels to complete all 21 projects featured in the book. From headbands, belts, and hoodies, to pillows and a guitar strap, all the projects can be achieved by hand sewing, machine sewing, or in some cases, by simply using scissors and glue. Since bandanas are prehemmed, they cut down on time spent sewing borders and following stitching lines, so there’s more time for kids to flex their creative muscles and create a style that’s all their own.
Editorial Reviews
Review
“Who doesn’t love bandanas?” Why, that’s a great question posed by Judith Cressy’s new book Bandana Rama. We are fervent bandana fans in the GenQ family, and , when you give us a book that has bandanas and a photo of a cat on the dedication page, we’re pretty sure we’ve found our tribe.Judith shares how-tos for accessories such as belts and headbands, but we got a little more jazzed when we came across a bandana lining for the hood of a hoodie, bandana-trimmed shorts, a drawstring top, a bandana skirt! Its’ a bandana extravaganza – 21 projects of varying difficulty. The book is geared for age 8 and up, with basic sewing instructions, but we’ll be wrestling the book out of the little sewists’ hands to whip up projects of our own. (Generation Q Magazine, Jan/Feb 2015)
The perfect companion to teaching a kids’ class, this book includes 21 projects that can be sewn by machine or by hand, or assembled with scissors and glue. Built around the iconic bandana, the results will make everyone smile! (
