About the Author
Professor Mihail Sandu has many decades of experience teaching high school physics at the Tourism Technological Highschool, Călimăneşti, Romania, as well as delivering undergraduate physics and mathematics courses as an associate professor at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania. Beginning in 1978, he was actively involved in elaborating and approving the Romanian pre-university physics curricula as a member of the National Committee of Physics, Ministry of Education and Research. Prof. Sandu has been a member of the Romanian National Physics Olympiad Committee since 1997, organising teams and competitions, providing training and instruction, and proposing problems for National and International Olympiads. He has authored many physics and astronomy textbooks at the high school and university levels, alongside several volumes of Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad problems.
