drupal Published On: 2012-10-31A key text which has proved beneficial for AMHP′s but also helpful to undergraduates and post graduate social work students in grasping the complex world of the psychiatry and medication.

The book provides a much needed understanding of medication. Hopefully the book will be updated through further editions
— Mr Stefan Brown ―
A consise overview from a S/W or AMHP perspective of a predominantly medical model; usefl refernce guide for practitioners to use on a day to day basis giving a quick overview. Clearly set out with headings for quick use.\
Dislike: thinly/poorly referenced – would have liked more books, websites. Too short to be of great relevence beyond a quick ′look up.\
Chapter 5 should be extended and split up inot at leats 3 seperate chapters — Ms Judith Matthews ―
I like that it′s clearly written and easy to understand. I dislike that it isn′t overly critical of medication and medical discourse in psychiatrist. — Ms Sandra Jamieson ―
