Editorial Reviews
From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Though these two vibrant titles have a fair amount of text, they are based on well-known songs, so they may be familiar to the intended audience. Both combine photography and computer graphics that at times look surreal. In one sequence in the first book, a bright pink door occupies center page as ants march through it, while four black-and-white cows, at various distances and angles, gaze placidly at readers. There are some clever visual effects in Frogs. On one page, the little creatures are shown half out of the water but their underwater bodies are clearly visible through a veil of light blue “water.” Most of the computer-enhanced frogs look fake but they and the various insects around them are nevertheless appealing. The text color changes for each stanza as does the background on every spread. Good additions to board-book baskets, especially for fans of frogs, insects, and animals.

About the Author
Brooklyn-based Martin Kelly was inspired to create this book after watching a stream of ants marching across his kitchen sink…and after staring at his computer screen for too many hours.
