ANOTHER CHRISTMAS MURDER MYSTERY: Massachusetts Cozy Mystery

At the Parker House Hotel in Boston, community leaders raise a toast to a federal grant that will demolish a rundown neighborhood and replace it with modern housing and commerce. But before dinner is served, Chamber Director Henry Saltonstall is murdered in the crush of the reception, where the crowd was too busy celebrating to notice a killer among them.

Amanda cannot let the questions go. Her husband, Lieutenant Brendan Halloran, works the case from the police side. Together they are drawn toward a neighborhood of tenants who say their protests were ignored, and toward men eager to take credit for a grant that arrived only after certain properties quietly changed hands.

Behind the applause and the punch bowl, someone had a great deal to hide.
