Biochemistry was once a part of physiology in medical schools since biochemistry at that time was nothing but mere metabolic pathways. Our understanding of biochemistry has tremendously depended and widened over the past few decades. Compared to the biochemistry I studied a decade ago during my first MBBS, a first-year student needs to learn myriad details these days. That is why I decided to come up with a concise book that will help everyone. To make this book concise, I have deliberately skipped topics more relevant to physiology like muscle contraction, Haemostasis, Digestion, and absorption.
