About the Author
Evert Jan van Leeuwen received his Ph.D degree (cum laude) in 2006 from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Since 2005, he has been a lecturer in English and American literature at Leiden. He has published articles on eighteenth and nineteenth century literature as well as contemporary popular culture.
