About the Author

Stanley Krippner, Ph.D., former director of the Maimonides Medical Center Dream Research Laboratory, was a professor of psychology at Saybrook University for 47 years. He is a fellow in the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science.

Adam J. Rock is a lecturer at the School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Sciences at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, Australia. His primary research interests are in the area of altered states of consciousness, mainly focused on shamanism, the conceptual problem of consciousness, and mediumship.

Julie Beischel is co-founder and director of research at the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential in Tucson, Arizona.
