Many of the effects of global warming, changing temperature and rainfall patterns, have been recognized as climate change factors affecting agriculture, and these climate trends are expected to adversely affect crops in most agricultural regions in coming decades and be only partly compensated by increased CO2 concentrations and improved environments in northern latitudes and high altitudes, with net overall depression of yield.
