About the Author
Peggy Parnell moved to Paignton aged four and has lived in the town ever since. She founded the Paignton Preservation Society, now the Preservation & Local History Society, and has been at the heart of Paignton life for many years. She has published extensively on the history of Paignton, including articles for Devon Life and the Herald & Express and a book for Frith.
