About the Author
Indu Bala, PhD, is a professor in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SEEE) at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. She has published more than 70 papers in various national/ international conferences and journals. She has contributed more than 30 book chapters in various books from renowned publishers. Her research interest includes cognitive radio networks, unmanned aerial vehicles, energy harvesting, resource management for next- generation communication networks, optical communication, etc.
Ghanshyam Singhhas received PhD in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT- BHU), Varanasi, India, in 2000. Currently, he is working as a professor of electrical and electronic engineering science, and director of the Centre for Smart Information and Communication Systems, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a visiting researcher at the Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea. He has worked as a professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Wakanaghat, Solan, India. He is an author/ co- author of more than 400 scientific research papers of peer reviewed journals and international conferences. He is a senior member of IEEE. His research and teaching interests include a broad range of spectrum (RF/ microwave, millimeter/ THz wave, free- space optics and visible light) technologies with its emerging applications including next- generation communication systems (5G/ 6G), sensing, sustainable smart city, Industry 4.0/ 5.0, healthcare 4.0/ 5.0, intelligent transport system, energy management (IoE), and digital farming. He has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience from academia and research and development institutions. He has supervised various doctoral theses and master’s dissertations. He has executed several sponsored research projects of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and currently working on 5G enabling technology localization research project sponsored by SENTECH SoC, South Africa. He is the author of several books and book chapters published by well- known publishers.
Suman Lata Tripathiis working as a professor in Symbiosis International University, Pune, Maharashtra, with more than 21 years of experience in academics and research. She has completed her PhD in microelectronics and VLSI design from MNNIT, Allahabad, India. She did her MTech in electronics engineering from UP Technical University, Lucknow, and BTech in electrical engineering from Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, India. She is also a remote post- doc researcher at Nottingham Trent University, London, UK, in the year 2022. She has published more than 102 research papers in refereed science journals, conference proceedings, and e- books. She holds 13 Indian patents and four copyrights.
