Book Description
Eleven international contributions present the results of recent experimental searches for the QCD transition to the high temperature and density regime, which generally is denoted as the quark gluon plasma. The two longest papers discuss application of color glass condensate to study high energy scattering in QCD and the status of thermal model descriptions of particle production in heavy ion collisions. Other topics include jet quenching and radiative energy loss in dense nuclear matter, gluon radiation and parton energy loss, event by event fluctuations, and hydrodynamic description of collective flow.
