About the Author
Jan Fischer, product manager for pricing in SAP S/4HANA, joined SAP in 2004. Since 2007 he has been working in pricing engineering and product management as a developer, scrum master, project lead, product owner, area engineering lead, and product manager. He has a degree in business information technology from the University of Cooperative Education in Mannheim, Germany.
Werner Herhuthis a certified consultant in the area of order fulfillment in SAP ERP and the author of several SAP courses. He studied mathematics and business administration with specialization in business informatics at the University of Mannheim. He worked for 13 years as a systems analyst and head of application programming in the engineering industry before joining SAP in 1996.
Manfred Hirnwas responsible for the development of the condition technique, as well as the billing and pricing functionalities that he helped program, in SAP R/3. He studied mathematics with a minor in business administration at the University of Würzburg. In his first job at a brewery, he was involved in the development and introduction of an order and trip management system. In 1984, he joined the SAP development team and supervised the SAP R/2 billing program. Later he worked as a development manager in the areas of sales, pricing, and billing.
Markus Urbanekhas been the chief development architect and chief product owner for condition contract management and settlement management since 2004. He studied physics at the University of Dortmund and joined SAP after completing his doctorate in 1994. In the subsequent 10 years, he worked in development as a developer and development manager to define purchase rebate, settlement management, and global trade management applications as part of the SAP ERP product; later, his main product focus was changed to build the condition contract management application. He has also worked for different SAP industry solutions such as retail, consumer products, and wholesale distribution.
